How to add text-to-speech to your stream

TTS reads chat messages or channel point rewards with a neural voice and plays them through OBS. Available on Premium and Ultra.

  1. Enable TTS

    Open TTS in the dashboard, enable the module and pick a voice provider: ElevenLabs or Fish Audio.

  2. Choose what is read

    All messages, prefixed messages (e.g. "!tts text"), or a channel point reward. Limit roles if only subs or VIPs should use it.

  3. Add the overlay to OBS

    Copy the TTS overlay URL and add a Browser source in OBS. Enable "Control audio via OBS" so the voice reaches your stream, not just your headphones.

  4. Test the voice

    Play the voice preview in the dashboard and send a test message. Volume is adjustable in settings and in the OBS mixer.

On Premium and Ultra a shared platform key with a 30-day character limit is included. If you need more, connect your own ElevenLabs or Fish Audio key and usage is billed to your provider account.

Voice, speed and expressiveness are configured per provider. Viewers can pick their own voice in the viewer panel if you allow it.

Spam and profanity protection

Bind TTS to a Twitch channel point reward. Output mode: voice only, on-screen text only, or both.

The overlay can also show the message and author: glass, solid or minimal style, top, center or bottom position, custom colors and font size.

TTS is not audible on stream

  • "Control audio via OBS" is enabled on the Browser source and it is not muted in the mixer.
  • The overlay uses the current URL from the dashboard.
  • The message matches the rules: prefix, role, length and cooldown.
  • The shared key still has characters left — the remainder is shown in the dashboard.

How do I connect TTS to OBS?

Create an overlay key in dashboard, copy the Browser Source URL, and add it to OBS.

Which voices are supported?

Neural ElevenLabs and Fish Audio voices. Premium and Ultra include a shared platform key with a character limit, or you can connect your own provider key.

Why is TTS not audible on stream?

Usually "Control audio via OBS" is disabled on the Browser source or the source is muted in the mixer.

Can I limit message length?

Yes. Character limits and playback queue are configured in dashboard.
